Turner

Als ich diesen wunderschönen Strang Malabrigo Sock zum ersten Mal in der Hand hatte, musste ich tatsächlich sofort an die Bilder von William Turner denken. So intensiv und ausdrucksstark sind die Farben, sie erinnern mich an vom Sturm gepeitschtes Meer und durch dunkle Wolken brechende Sonnenstrahlen.

Das Muster bringt die Farben perfekt zur Geltung, ein bisschen verspielt und romantisch, aber trotzdem lässig und nicht zu aufgeregt. Das sind auf jeden Fall neue Lieblingssocken!

When I saw this beautiful skein of Malabrigo sock for the first time, William Turner’s paintings occurred to me immediately. The colours are so intense and expressive, they remind me of the sea whipped up by the storm and of sunbeams breaking through dark clouds.

The pattern shows off the colours in a perfect way, the socks are somewhat romantic and playful, but do also look casual and relaxed. In any case, I’ve got some new favourite socks!
